Boulder Integral : Gaia Explorer Will the real Self please stand up?

Will the real Self please stand up?

Dear Friends,

On June 3rd at Integral Spiritual Sunday Jeff Salzman led an amazing session about Living Your Larger/Higher Self.
The Higher Selves are standing
The morning began with the usual 9am meditation.  It is truly wonderful to see the many of you that are now joining us on a regular basis.  Jeff also included some guidance on a great integral practice of taking perspectives- 1-2-3 of Spirit (Spirit in first, second and third person).

Mary Hostetter started the 10am session with some great rounds of singing. Thanks Mary, we enjoyed it!

During the main at 10am, Jeff gave a beautiful talk and teaching on
encountering our Larger, Higher Self. There was some gorgeous music, meditation, poetry,  conversation and a wonderful exercise in which attendants had to stand behind the chair as his/her Higher Self and introduce and speak about the small self with the others in the group.  Here are some pictures.

For many, it was, indeed, a powerful experience. The group also got to ask questions from the Higher Self about the small self - a delicious practice to continue in being able to step back from identifying with the ego and stepping into witnessing from the unconditioned, empty/full, all-pervading Higher Self,  the
dimension of yourself that is wiser, more powerful and more loving.  It's always "there" as potential, holding the promise of your next stage of growth.  Sometimes it shines through as  bursts  of spontaneous clarity.  We also feel it as the call of God, Dharma and/or spiritual practice.  Sometimes we fear it, and project it as a golden shadow on to others.

Thank you, Jeff for the incredible generosity and wisdom that you continue to bring to BCIL.
