Boulder Integral : Gaia Explorer Weekly Updates: Mother's Day at BCIL

Weekly Updates: Mother's Day at BCIL

Posted on May 15th, 2007 by Boulder Integral : Gaia Child Boulder Integral

Hello Friends,

On May 13th, about 60 guests gathered together at the Millennium Harvest House Hotel in Boulder for a day of celebrating Mother's Day. Indeed, there were many moms, at least two very-soon-to-be-moms, and of course, not too many, but a few little ones. From 9-10am, we meditated (which is what we hope to do on all Integral Spiritual Sundays) and from 10am – 12pm, Jeff Salzman led and facilitated many wonderful exercises, practices, personal stories, small and whole group sharing about motherhood in a very wonderful and rich integral context. The room was filled with good energy; music, singing in rounds, prayer, altar offerings, personal stories and on occasion, a few tears too. A few pictures from the event are here.

For those who are joining us next week on Sunday May 20th, Jeff is planning on a World Café on integral community and spiritual practices. Please check back here for more details. If you are in Boulder/Denver area, we'd love to see you joining us in the Coach's Corner at the Millennium Harvest House Hotel in Boulder (9am for sitting and 10am for community teachings, dialogues)

Meanwhile, we are working very hard at coming up with a workable solution to how parents may bring children to the hotel and join Integral Spiritual Sunday with or without kids. If you have any good ideas, post a message here. We need feedback from those who have kids : )

Thank you to all who joined us on Mother's Day.

Best Wishes and hope to see you all again. If you have any questions, please feel free to post on the Discussion Forums of send email to info@b-cil.org

In Gratitude,

Nomali @ BCIL

a humble good evening to all,
i've recently experience some of the most impacting losses in my life.  in my need to reach out to a community that would NOT think me / feel me / as 'wako' because i want to lay on the ground, the grass and draw strength from the earth as i'm trying to process the death of the 2 out of 3 most important men in my life, i came to this community - BCIL .

last may i had the greatest pleasure of attending the Mother's day gathering at the BCIL .  it was definetely the greatest mother's day of my life:).  i had my son, the reason IAM a mother, with me and he was willingly and with interest participating in an experience that i did not 'plan' but so enjoyed sharing with him.  The trip to the BCIL  was so that i could meet like minded people for me, as my mother's day gift…. :).. i got sooo much more and i'm grateful for Jeff, Nomali and all who made the gathering happen.

i'm definetely the black sheep, i prefer… la brujita hollowbone :)… of the family and as such i've created my own personal relationship with that bit of I that is Spirit and all that Spirit entails.

i'm feeling compelled to share here as there's much i need help with…. most interested in dealing with my shadow at this time and honoring this grieving process.

at the moment i'm processing, as best as a 'body' can process the death of my one and only dearest brother and a father who in all reality did not really 'care' about me.

i am so feeling Spirit and a more less dense world at the moment.  and have been since this whole journey started.  and that was 3 weeks ago or a month ago… i'm still in a fog.  anyway, i'm very glad that you guys envisioned and manifested the Boulder Center for Integral Living and i look forward to more gatherings.

i also attended, by myself, the  JunPo Denis Kelly Roshi, gathering which also touched me deeply:).. peace, thanks for listening, Labrujitahollowbone
